Game guides
- Play Black Ops Zombies in Your BrowserYes. The working link is vel.gg/bo1z — an unofficial, fan-made browser version of Black Ops 1 Zombies. It has a map picker with ten maps, including Kino der Toten, Five, Ascension and Moon. Nothing to install, but the first load downloads a few hundred MB of map data.
- Modern Warfare 2 in the Browser: Does the Link Work? The Modern Warfare 2 link from the Radiant Optimizer thread points to a project hosted on Railway (ovz-game-production.up.railway.app). When we checked, the server only answered “rate limited” (HTTP 429), so we could not confirm what it runs or whether it is playable.
- Skate 3 in Your Browser: What the Link Really IsPartly. The Skate 3 link (skate.aaddpp.lol) is an unofficial fan game built on a Rust engine — not the original 2010 console game and not made by EA. The page says game data streams from your own converted copy of Skate 3, so it is not instant free play.
- Halo CE in Your Browser: Desktop and Mobile LinksYes, Halo: Combat Evolved runs in the browser, but you need your own game files. Both Halo links from the thread — Halo CE Web (mitchellhynes.com/halo) and Halo CE Mobile (hcemobile.com) — are unofficial projects that ask for an ISO made from your own Xbox copy.
- GTA 5 in the Browser: What the Viral Link Actually IsThere is no official GTA 5 browser version. The GTA 5 link in the Radiant Optimizer thread points to a Wayback Machine (web.archive.org) capture of playgta5.com, not a live game website. If you want GTA in a browser today, GTA Vice City and GTA III have working web ports.
- Play GTA Vice City in Your BrowserYes. GTA Vice City runs in the browser through a WebAssembly port at joncodeofficial.github.io/gta-vice-city-wasm. You import your own game.tar.gz once; it is stored locally in your browser, and after that the game works offline.
- Play Quake 1, 2 and 3 in Your BrowserYes. pieter.com runs browser multiplayer versions of Quake (QuakeWorld), Quake II, Quake III Arena, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Urban Terror. No install or game files needed — the first load downloads the game data and caches it.
- Half-Life and CS 1.6 in Your BrowserThe thread links two browser ports of Xash3D, an open-source engine compatible with Half-Life: pixelsuft.github.io/hl and WebXash (x8bitrain.github.io/webXash), the one listed for Half-Life / CS 1.6. For Counter-Strike style surfing, Surfd (surfd.net) runs in the browser with no files.
What “play in your browser” really means
These games run on WebAssembly ports, community engines and preservation projects. You do not install a desktop launcher, but the first load can still download hundreds of MB of game data, which the browser then caches.
Some projects only include the engine. Halo CE, Halo CE Mobile, Skate 3 and GTA Vice City ask you to provide files from your own copy of the game. Diablo offers the free shareware demo, or the full game with your own DIABDAT.MPQ.
For the best results use desktop Chrome or Edge with hardware acceleration on, a keyboard and mouse, and click inside the game to capture the mouse.
FAQ
What is the Radiant Optimizer browser games list?
In October 2026 the X account Radiant Optimizer posted that games like Black Ops Zombies, Skate 3, Halo and Modern Warfare 2 can run in a web browser, and shared the links in a reply. This page indexes those links in the original order, with what each one leads to today.
Does “no install” mean instant play?
Not always. Many of these projects need no desktop launcher, but they may download hundreds of MB of data on first load, and some (Halo CE, Skate 3, GTA Vice City) ask you to provide files from your own copy of the game.
Is every original link still playable?
No. Moon, Kino der Toten and BO3 Cheese Cube now redirect to an unrelated site, Skate Rust’s domain shows a different site, and GTA 5 points to a web archive. We keep those entries visible with their status and list working alternatives where we found one.
Are these the official games?
No. They are unofficial fan projects, engine ports and preservation projects hosted on third-party sites. None is published by Activision, EA, Microsoft, Rockstar or Valve.
Are the links safe?
We only link to the project pages and do not host or modify any game. Follow the original post’s advice: skip anything that asks you to download a launcher, extension or .exe.
Can I play these on a phone or Chromebook?
Most are built for desktop Chrome or Edge with keyboard and mouse. Halo CE Mobile and PES 6 support touch. A Chromebook with a recent Chrome can open most of them, but heavy 3D games may run slowly.
Is this the official Radiant Optimizer site?
No. Browser Games List is an independent index of the links shared in the Radiant Optimizer thread. The games run on third-party project sites.
