What the Skate 3 Browser Port Is
It is not an emulator and not EA’s code. The open-source Skate 3 Rust engine reimplements the skating physics, tricks and grinds in Rust with the Bevy engine, and this site compiles it to run in the browser on WebGPU. The visuals come from Skate 3’s own game data.
The site adds a menu modelled on Skate 3, loading screens and a lighter graphics mode. Its maker, aaddpp, told press it was built in a few days, and it went viral in early October 2026. The original Skate 3 came out in May 2010 on PS3 and Xbox 360, made by EA Black Box.
Does the Skate 3 Browser Game Need Your Own Files?
The opening screen says no game content is hosted on the site, the server only runs the engine, and players bring their own legally owned copy of Skate 3 converted on their own machine.
In our test on October 11, 2026, the public site did not ask for any file: after “Press any button or click to continue” it started downloading game data by itself. RecompiledGames reported the same on October 8. Treat that as how the site behaves today, not a promise; it may change to require your own files.
How to Play Skate 3 in Your Browser

A browser fan game that rewrites the skating in Rust. Opens in a tab, no install.
Skate 3 Recomp
A separate native desktop program that runs the Xbox 360 game on Windows, Linux and macOS. It is not a browser game.
Emulators (RPCS3, Xenia)
Run the original console game from your own copy on a PC. Much heavier, and nothing to do with this site.

Sources disagree on a few points, so check the site itself before relying on them:

Some guides say there are touch controls and a mobile graphics mode; others say phones are not supported. Desktop is the safe choice.

A viral post claimed multiplayer support; other write-ups describe it as single-player skating.
