The GTA 5 Browser Port Timeline
On October 6, playgta5.com started GTA 5 in the browser after downloading about 700 MB of assets, compared with roughly 170 GB for the PC install. Wonder Interactive founder Alex St. Louis shared footage and said it had been ported to WebAssembly with AI help. Within hours the site was gone.
On October 7 a Wayback Machine snapshot of the page circulated with claims that it brought the game back, and that snapshot became entry 13 in the Radiant Optimizer list on October 8.
