WASM Arcade PC Games Compared
All five run in a browser tab with no install and none of your own game files. They differ in engine, download size and what your computer needs.
| Game | Engine | Original release | First load | Minimum memory |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grand Theft Auto V | RAGE port (hosted on gta.deloskiyt.pl) | 2013, PS3 / Xbox 360 | ≈1.2–1.4 GB | 4 GB, WebGPU required |
| Grand Theft Auto: Vice City | reVC | 2002, PS2 | Streams as you play | 2 GB browser heap |
| Grand Theft Auto III | re3 | 2001, PS2 | Streams as you play | 2 GB browser heap |
| The Simpsons: Hit & Run | Native WebAssembly | 2003, PS2 / Xbox / GameCube / PC | Streams as you play | 2 GB browser heap |
| Minecraft (Java 1.8.8) | EaglercraftX | 2011, PC | ≈50 MB plus your worlds | 4 GB |
- Vice City, GTA III and Hit & Run need a browser with WebGL 2.0 (Chrome, Firefox or Edge 90+, Safari 15.4+). GTA V needs WebGPU, which in practice means current desktop Chrome or Edge.
WASM Arcade GTA 5: What Actually Loads
The GTA V entry is the one game here that WASM Arcade does not host. Its page embeds a community port of the RAGE engine, compiled to WebAssembly and drawn with WebGPU, that runs from an outside server, gta.deloskiyt.pl. WASM Arcade states that it does not manage that server, which can slow down, change or disappear, and it is not an official Rockstar release.
Expect a desktop-only experience: current Chrome or Edge with WebGPU, at least 4 GB of memory (8 GB recommended) and a first download of about 1.2 to 1.4 GB. You can pick Story Mode, which continues from your newest save, or Sandbox Mode for free roam. Saves stay in your browser, and the embedded copy keeps separate storage from gta.deloskiyt.pl opened directly, so a save made in one does not show up in the other.
WASM Arcade Minecraft: Java Edition 1.8.8
The Minecraft entry is Java Edition 1.8.8 running through EaglercraftX, a community port to WebAssembly. It has the 1.8 content (the Nether, the End, redstone, enchanting, brewing) but nothing added later, such as bees or the Nether Update. Worlds are stored in your browser; clearing site data for wasmarcade.com deletes them, so use the in-game world export as a backup.
The page is set up for single-player. The port has multiplayer and LAN options, but they rely on third-party relay servers that WASM Arcade does not run. There are no touch controls, so it needs a keyboard and mouse.
GTA Vice City and GTA III on WASM Arcade
No game files needed
Both stream their data into the browser and cache it, so later starts are near-instant. This is the main difference from the other Vice City browser port, which asks you to import your own game.tar.gz first.
Saves and backups
Save at a safehouse as in the original game; progress is written to your browser’s IndexedDB. The built-in save manager exports or imports PC .b save files.
Cheats
Type the classic PC codes on the keyboard at any time: GESUNDHEIT or GIVEUSATANK in GTA III, ASPIRINE or PANZER in Vice City.
Controllers
Xbox, PlayStation and generic Bluetooth controllers are mapped automatically through the browser Gamepad API.
The Simpsons: Hit & Run Cheats and Controls
Cheats need the pause menu
They cannot be typed while driving. Press Esc, open Options, hold F1 and enter the arrow-key code; a car horn confirms it. For example, F1 + → ↑ → ↑ gives an invincible car.
Controller support
The game only reads keyboard and mouse, so the page converts a controller into keys. Steering is on/off rather than analog, and cheat codes still need the keyboard.
Seven levels
The full story across seven levels, with the soundtrack streaming as you play. WASM Arcade lists Chromebooks among the machines it runs on.

WASM Arcade PC Games FAQ
Is GTA 5 on WASM Arcade real?
It is a community port of GTA V’s RAGE engine to WebAssembly, loaded from gta.deloskiyt.pl inside WASM Arcade’s page. It is not an official Rockstar release and WASM Arcade does not host or control it.
Do I need to download anything to play the WASM Arcade PC games?
No installer and no game files. Each game downloads its data into the browser on first start and caches it; GTA V’s first load is the largest at about 1.2 to 1.4 GB.
Can I play WASM Arcade GTA or Minecraft on a phone?
Not well. GTA V does not support phones or tablets, Minecraft has no touch controls, and the GTA games are built for keyboard, mouse or a controller.
Where are my saves stored?
In your own browser, on your device. Clearing site data removes them, so use the save managers or Minecraft’s world export to keep backups.
